Budgyt started as the maverick software solution to relieve the stresses of budgeting in Excel, showing business leaders what comes next in budgeting.
Budgyt was developed as a fully cloud-based, multi-department budgeting tool that delivers solutions for small-medium sized businesses, NonProfits, or larger enterprises with complex needs like cost-allocation. Our focus on providing a professional yet simple and easy to use platform for multi- department businesses has helped CFOs, Controllers, Marketing Managers, Operation Directors and others in simplifying their budgeting and streamlining their process.
Since Budgyt's inception in 2014, the company has been focused on eliminating the pains and frustrations that come with budgeting with excel, but since then, the demand for expanding our solution beyond Excel grew as we began to expand the core features and develop custom integrations with Quickbooks Online, ConnectWise and Xero.
Being a platform that was birthed from the belief that the best budgets are made collaboratively, we internally embrace this philosophy as we continue to grow our leadership team with the most recent additions of a VP of Operations and a VP of Marketing & Design.

Budgyt is the brainchild of Founder James McCoy, who after nearly two decades of budgeting experience across a thousand different businesses, with 8 of those years as a VP of Finance / CFO, James had experienced first hand many of Excel's limitations, especially true for the needs of a hyper-scaling business.
These limitations included the necessary features for a growing company like approvals, hyperlinking (to avoid broken links), multi-department formulas, and, most importantly, the need for a collaborative team-based budgeting platform that was affordable, collectively making the budgeting process fun again.
Fueled by the principle of collaboration, Budgyt was created as a cloud-based platform with an intuitive, simple UI that provided clean navigation and served as a single data entry point. Hosted on the trusted AWS cloud, Budgyt delivers peace of mind to clients worldwide, taking advantage of how fast and cost-effective our platform is in comparison to the competition.
